The Reverend Mark D. Harewood has served in the ordained ministry of our diocese for over 30 years and has a passion for parish ministry. He was ordained deacon on September 8, 1990, at Christ Church Parish Church by Bishop Drexel W. Gomez. Bishop Gomez presided at Fr. Mark’s ordination as priest on June 24, 1991, at St. Michael’s Cathedral. His first position was as an assistant curate at St. Paul’s Church, after which he served as assistant curate at St. Peter’s Parish Church. Appointed incumbent of St. Bartholomew’s Church in May 1993, ten years later Fr. Mark became the rector of St. Barnabas’ Church where he served for eighteen years. Fr. Mark also served as rural dean of the St. Michael deanery from March 2016, until his appointment as rector of Christ Church Parish Church on September 1, 2021.
